Major League Soccer kicked it into high gear on Saturday evening as the league’s eight games accounted for 39 goals, the highest single day total in league history.
Leading the way was a massive 10-goal output in D.C. United’s 6-4 win over Real Salt Lake. The goal total fell one short of the league record for most goals in a single match. The Galaxy and the Colorado Rapids got into the fun with four goals scored in LA’s 3-1 win over the Rapids.
