CARSON, Calif. -- According to multiple reports offers are on the table for Landon Donovan to return to Major League Soccer in 2017 with clubs other than the Los Angeles Galaxy.
Soccerwire.com's Charles Boehm reported on Wednesday night that Donovan was weighing a free agent offer from Real Salt Lake for the 2017 campaign. The report was later expounded upon by Blake Thomsen of American Soccer Now who stated that Donovan had been offered a two-year Designated Player deal with Salt Lake.
ESPN sideline reporter Julie Stewart-Binks soon added that an unnamed Eastern Conference club had also offered the former Galaxy midfielder a deal for next season.
