CARSON, Calif. – The road wasn’t always easy, but the LA Galaxy are MLS Cup champions once again.

On Sunday, the Galaxy became the first team to win a fifth MLS Cup title with a 2-1 extra time victory over the New England Revolution. The match itself was a contentious affair that seemed quite as the Galaxy repeatedly squandered opportunities while the Revolution struggled to find chances of their own.

Gyasi Zardes and Chris Tierney traded second-half goals in what was a contentious match, but Galaxy captain and reigning MLS MVP Robbie Keane gave LA the title with his clever finish in the 111th minute. The Galaxy held on and celebrated their third title in four years in front of 27,000 at StubHub Center.

Throughout the team’s run to be the first to five, we’ve been following along with them through the stellar work of Mora Photography’s Robert Mora, Jon Lorentz and Hana Asano who have provided timeless shots of the team’s greatest moments.

Once again on Sunday, the photographers showed their class as they documented the Galaxy’s MLS Cup championship from beginning to end and captured all the grit, joy and glory that came with the win.  Whether it was Landon Donovan’s raw emotion at the final whistle of his final match or the joy of players sharing their victory with the fans, all of the passions of the title winning moments were captured.
