Red-hot Giovani dos Santos joins Mexico for World Cup qualifiers | INSIDER

WASHINGTON – Giovani dos Santos is at the top of his game as he joins Mexico for their upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifiers and the 2018 Confederations Cup.

Dos Santos heads into the international break with five goals in five matches for the Galaxy while helping Curt Onalfo’s squad string together a six-game unbeaten run. The 28-year-old Galaxy striker has six goals and one assist in 12 games for the club this season.

He’ll now look to provide the same type of production for Mexico when they host Honduras in a 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier on Thursday and then again three later when they take on the United States at Estadio Azteca.

“I feel physically very good. I’ve been working really hard. I’m going to try to give my best for my national team,” dos Santos told LA Galaxy Insider. "It’s a pleasure to go to the national team and I will try to enjoy it and give it all for my country.”
