Robbie Keane and the Republic of Ireland qualify for Euro 2016 in France | INSIDER

Robbie Keane did not take part, but the Republic of Ireland qualified for their second straight European Championship with a 2-0 victory over Bosnia and Herzegovina on Monday. 


Jonathan Walters scored twice at Aviva Stadium to give the Irish a 3-1 aggregate victory in their Euro 2016 qualification playoff series over Bosnia. Walters opened the scoring a penalty kick goal in the 25th minute and then completed his brace with an impressive finish from close range in the 71st minute. 


The 2016 tournament will mark the first time that the Republic of Ireland has qualified for consecutive European Championships. The final draw for the Euro 2016 will take place on Dec. 12 in Paris.
