CARSON, Calif. – Robbie Keane is moving closer to returning to action, but the former MLS MVP is still a question mark for Sunday.
The 35-year-old forward returned to training last week after missing the last month to recover from knee surgery. Whether the Irishman will be healthy enough to play against the New England Revolution on Sunday, however, is still up in the air.
“We have to see him through the week of training and see if he’s positioned to play a role on Sunday,” said Galaxy head coach Bruce Arena.
