CARSON, Calif. – The LA Galaxy are still playing the waiting game when it comes to injured midfielders Baggio Husidic and Sebastian Lletget.

Husidic suffered a broken left fibula in late May, while Lletget has been sidelined with a Lisfranc injury in his left foot since March. Neither player is expected to play anytime soon, but Husidic could be back to full training in the near future.

“He’s getting closer,” Schmid said. “He definitely moved up a plateau last week and earlier this week so next week, we’ll have a better prediction of where he’s at.”

The prognosis regarding Lletget was not quite as positive, but Schmid believes that he is making progress regardless of whether he'll be back on the field this season.

“If a guy like Sebastian can’t come back and play in games again this year,” he said. “Depending on how his injury recovery comes, if he can come back and train with us that gives us a head start as we approach next season.”
