Lineup Notes:

  • Starting in goal is Jonathan Bond. The Englishman has posted two shutouts and 15 saves in six matches played for the Galaxy this season. 
  • Mexican National Team defender Julián Araujo makes his fifth start of the season at right back. Araujo leads the Galaxy in interceptions (10) and ranks tied for third on the team in chances created (8) in 2022. 
  • Playing in the heart of defense is Séga Coulibaly, who tallied his first career goal for the Galaxy, the game-winner, in the victory against LAFC on April 9.
  • Next to Coulibaly is* Derrick Williams, who makes his third consecutive start of the season.  Playing at left back is Raheem Edwards, who leads MLS with five assists in six games played (6 starts). 
  • Suriname National Team defender Kelvin Leerdam makes his third consecutive start for the Galaxy after making his debut in last week’s 3-1 win over the Portland Timbers. 
  • Playing in front of Leerdam is Rayan Raveloson, who has registered two assists in six starts this season. 
  • Making his return to the starting lineup is Mark Delgado,who leads the team with 41 possessions won during the 2022 campaign. 
  • Making his fifth start of the season on the right is Designated Player Douglas Costa, who leads the LA with 11 chances created this year.   
  • Samuel Grandsir* gets his third consecutive start of the season at left wing. Grandsir was named to the MLS Team of the Week after tallying two assists in the win over LAFC last week.  Starting up top and captaining the Galaxy is Javier “Chicharito” Hernández, who ranks tied for first in MLS with five goals scored in six games played.
