  • 2022 MLS Cup MVP John McCarthy makes his seventh consecutive start in goal for the LA Galaxy in tonight’s match against LAFC. McCarthy, who made three saves and recorded his first shutout of the season in the 1-0 win over Seattle Sounders FC on March 30, posted four shutouts in eight matches played during LAFC’s run to the 2022-23 Concacaf Champions League Final, earning Golden Glove honors and being named to the Concacaf Champions League Best XI.
  • Japanese International defender Miki Yamane starts at right back for the LA Galaxy against Seattle. Yamane, who has made six starts during the 2024 campaign, was named to the J1 League Best XI in three consecutive seasons (2020, 2021, 2022), and helped Kawasaki Frontale earn two J1 League titles (2021, 2020), two Emperor’s Cup titles (2020, 2023) and one Japanese Super Cup (2021).
  • Japanese International defender Maya Yoshida captains the Galaxy in tonight’s match. Yoshida, who has recorded one goal in six appearances (6 starts) during the 2024 campaign, tallied one goal and one assist in 12 appearances (12 starts) for the Galaxy in league play last year.
  • Making his seventh appearance (6th start) of the 2024 campaign is midfielder Edwin Cerrillo, who starts alongside Yoshida at centerback. The Waco, Texas, native has logged five assists in 104 career regular-season matches played (76 starts) across seven seasons (2019-Present) in MLS.
  • Argentine youth international defender Julián Aude, who has tallied two assists in six matches played (6 starts) for the Galaxy during the 2024 campaign, gets the start at left back. Aude notched one goal and one assist in 27 appearances (18 starts) across all competitions for the Galaxy during the 2023 season.
  • Starting in midfield is Gastón Brugman, who has tallied two assists in five appearances (1 start) during the 2024 MLS Regular Season. The Uruguayan midfielder has tallied six goals and six assists in 47 career matches played (44 starts) across all competitions in three seasons played for the LA Galaxy (2022-Present).
  • Mark Delgado, who scored the game-winning goal in the 3-2 win over Sporting KC on March 23, gets the start in midfield against LAFC. During the 2023 campaign, Delgado recorded four goal contributions (1 goal, 3 assists) in four matches played across all competitions against LAFC. Delgado ranks second in MLS this season in total distance covered in kilometers (74.17), which averages out to 7.68 miles covered per match this season.
  • Riqui Puig, who has recorded 30 goal contributions (14 goals, 16 assists) in 52 career appearances (50 starts) across all competitions for LA, starts in midfield. The 2023 MLS All-Star has five goal contributions (2 goals, 3 assists) in six matches played (6 starts) for the Galaxy this season. Puig finished the 2023 campaign ranked first amongst all players in MLS in touches (2,752) and successful passes entering the final third (640), second in dribbles completed (92) and passes completed (1,892) and sixth in chances created from open play (55).
  • Ghanaian International winger Joseph Paintsil, who has recorded two goals and two assists in six matches played (6 starts), makes his sixth start of the 2024 campaign. Paintsil ranks third in MLS in shot setups (15) behind only Luciano Acosta (22) and Carles Gil (17) and has posted the third-fastest top speed in km/h this season in MLS (36.23) behind only Alvas Powell (36.47) and Sang Bin Jeong (36.44).
  • Brazilian youth international forward Gabriel Pec makes his third consecutive start in tonight’s match against Seattle. Pec, who recorded his first goal of the 2024 campaign against Seattle last week, has tallied one goal and one assist in five appearances (2 starts) for LA during the 2024 campaign, recorded 40 goal contributions (26 goals, 14 assists) in 178 appearances across all competitions with Vasco da Gama (2019-23).
  • Dejan Joveljić, who ranks tied for second in MLS in goals scored (5) and has added one assist in 6 appearances (5 starts) for LA this season, returns to the starting lineup in tonight’s match against LAFC. Notably, the Serbian International has recorded four career goals in 10 matches played (4 starts) across all competitions against LAFC.
