  • Serbian goalkeeper Novak Mićović, 23, makes his fifth start of the 2025 MLS Regular Season in tonight's match against the Earthquakes. Mićović, who earned his first career victory for LA in the 2-1 win over the Earthquakes in Leagues Cup 2024 group stage action at PayPal Park on July 31, made four starts across all competitions during the 2024 campaign, posting one shutout and a 1.25 goals-against average. Mićović has made four league appearances (4 starts) for the Galaxy during the 2025 campaign.
  • LA Galaxy Academy product Mauricio Cuevas, 22, makes his second start for LA during the 2025 MLS Regular Season in tonight's match against the Earthquakes. In his first start of the season, Cuevas recorded a goal and an assist against the Philadelphia Union on May 14. In three seasons with the LA Galaxy (2023-Present), the Los Angeles, Calif., native has logged two goals and three assists in 36 matches played (8 starts) across all competitions. Notably, Cuevas recorded his first career MLS goal for the Galaxy in a 3-0 shutout win over San Jose at Stanford Stadium on June 29, 2024.
  • Danish defender Zanka, 35, makes his ninth career league appearance (8th start) for the LA Galaxy in tonight's match against San Jose. Zanka, who makes his first appearance for LA since April 27, tallied the game-tying assist in LA's 1-1 draw against the Timbers at Providence Park on March 16. In 37 career appearances (22 starts) for the Denmark Men’s National Team, Zanka recorded two goals, one of which came in the 2018 FIFA World Cup Round of 16 match against Croatia.
  • Maya Yoshida, who has recorded three goals and three assists in 68 appearances (67 starts) across all competitions in three seasons with the Galaxy (2023-Present), captains LA in tonight's game. Notably, Yoshida played in three FIFA World Cups (2014, 2018, 2022) for the Japanese National Team. Yoshida was the only player on the Galaxy roster to appear in every MLS match (Regular Season & Playoffs) during the 2024 season. Yoshida scored a goal in the 4-3 win over San Jose at Dignity Health Sports Park on April 21, 2024.
  • John Nelson, who has made 15 appearances (14 starts) across all competitions this season for LA, starts in defense in tonight's match. The Medina, Ohio, native has logged one goal and four assists in 46 matches played (34 starts) across all competitions in two seasons with the LA Galaxy.
  • Edwin Cerrillo, who has tallied one assist in 14 matches played (14 starts) during the 2025 MLS Regular Season, starts in midfield against San Jose. Cerrillo, 24, has registered one goal and five assists in 70 career matches played (59 starts) across all competitions with the LA Galaxy (2023 - Present).
  • Uruguayan midfielder Lucas Sanabria, 21, makes his 10th appearances (7th start) of the 2025 MLS Regular Season in the match against San Jose Sanabria recorded five goals and four assists in 46 matches played (41 starts) across all competitions (Campeonato Uruguayo Clausura & Apertura, Copa AUF Uruguay, Copa Libertadores, Torneo Intermedio) for Club Nacional de Football (2024). At the international level, Sanabria was called up to the Uruguayan National Team for 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifying for matches against Peru on Oct. 11 and Ecuador on Oct. 15, 2024.
  • 2024 MLS Newcomer of the Year Gabriel Pec, 24, who finished the 2024 MLS Regular Season with 30 goal contributions (16 goals, 14 assists) in 33 appearances (30 starts), starts on the right wing against San Jose. Pec has totaled 42 goal contributions (23 goals, 19 assists) in 57 appearances (54 starts) across all competitions in two seasons with the LA Galaxy (2024 - Present). Pec notched a goal and two assists in three league matches played against San Jose during the 2024 campaign.
  • Marco Reus, who tallied an assist against San Diego FC on May 24, starts in midfield in today's match against the Earthquakes. Reus has registered 11 goal contributions (4 goals, 7 assists) in 16 career regular season matches played (11 starts) for LA (2024-Present). In his last six matches played dating back to April 27, Reus' seven goal contributions (3 goals, 4 assists) ranks tied for first in MLS (Tai Baribo - 6 goals, 1 assist; Anders Dreyer - 3 goals, 4 assists) during that span. Additionally, Reus is averaging 1.39 goals and assists per 90 minutes played in the six matches played dating back to April 27.
  • Ghanaian international forward Joseph Paintsil, who has recorded 28 goal contributions (16 goals, 12 assists) in 48 career matches played (45 starts) across all competitions for LA, makes his ninth league appearance (seventh start) for LA this season in tonight's match against San Jose.   • Brazilian youth international forward Matheus Nascimento, 21, makes his first career start for the LA Galaxy in the 103rd edition across all competitions of the California Clásico. The Niterói, Brazil native has played 127 minutes in eight appearances off the bench for the Galaxy during the 2025 MLS Regular Season. Nascimento joined LA as a U22 Initiative Player on loan from Brazilian Série A side Botafogo on Feb. 19, 2025. Notably, Nascimento is the youngest player (16 years old) in club history to make their debut for Botafogo. Nascimento notched 12 goals and 7 assists in 98 appearances (55 starts) across all competitions in six seasons played with Botafogo (2020-25). At the international level, Nascimento has made multiple appearances for Brazil at the U-16, U-17, U-18, U-20 and U-23 age groups. The forward was part of the Brazilian National Team side that won the 2023 Pan American Games gold medal after defeating Chile in penalties on Nov. 4, 2023.
