  • 2022 MLS Cup MVP* John McCarthy makes his sixth consecutive start in goal for the LA Galaxy in tonight’s match against Seattle. McCarthy, who made six saves in the 3-2 come-from-behind road over Sporting Kansas City on March 23, posted four shutouts in eight matches played during LAFC’s run to the 2022-23 Concacaf Champions League Final, earning Golden Glove honors and being named to the Concacaf Champions League Best XI. Japanese International defender Miki Yamane* starts at right back for the LA Galaxy against Seattle. Yamane, who has made five starts during the 2024 campaign, was named to the J1 League Best XI in three consecutive seasons (2020, 2021, 2022), and helped Kawasaki Frontale earn two J1 League titles (2021, 2020), two Emperor’s Cup titles (2020, 2023) and one Japanese Super Cup (2021). Japanese International defender Maya Yoshida captains the Galaxy in tonight’s match. Yoshida, who has recorded one goal in five appearances ( 5starts) during the 2024 campaign, tallied one goal and one assist in 12 appearances (12 starts) for the Galaxy in league play last year. 
  • Returning from red card suspension is Uruguayan National Team legend Martín Cáceres, who has tallied two goals and one assist in 25 career regular-season appearances (24 starts) across three seasons played for the LA Galaxy (2022-24). 
  • Argentine youth international defender Julián Aude, who has tallied two assists in five matches played (5 starts) for the Galaxy during the 2024 campaign, gets the start at left back. Aude notched one goal and one assist in 27 appearances (18 starts) across all competitions for the Galaxy during the 2023 season. Notably, Aude scored his first career goal for the Galaxy in a 3-1 win over Seattle in the Round of 32 of the 2023 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup on May 10. 
  • Making his first start of the 2024 campaign is Gastón Brugman, who has tallied an assist in two consecutive appearances as a substitute dating back to March 16. The Uruguayan midfielder has tallied six goals and six assists in 46 career matches played (43 starts) across all competitions in three seasons played for the LA Galaxy (2022-Present).  
  • Mark Delgado, who scored the game-winning goal in the 3-2 win over Sporting KC on March 23, gets the start in midfield against Seattle. Delgado has recorded five goal contributions (1 goal, 4 assists) in five matches played (5 starts) this season. Delgado ranks fourth in MLS this season in total distance covered in kilometers (61.06), which averages out to 7.58 miles covered per match this season. 
  • Riqui Puig, who has recorded 30 goal contributions (14 goals, 16 assists) in 51 career appearances (49 starts) across all competitions for LA, starts in midfield. The 2023 MLS All-Star has five goal contributions (2 goals, 3 assists) in five matches played (5 starts) for the Galaxy this season. Puig finished the 2023 campaign ranked first amongst all players in MLS in touches (2,752) and successful passes entering the final third (640), second in dribbles completed (92) and passes completed (1,892) and sixth in chances created from open play (55).
  • Ghanaian International winger Joseph Paintsil, who has recorded two goals and one assist in five matches played (5 starts), makes his sixth start of the 2024 campaign. Paintsil ranks tied for third in MLS in shot setups (13) behind only Luciano Acosta (18) and Carles Gil (13) and has posted the third-fastest top speed in km/h this season in MLS (36.23) behind only Alvas Powell (36.47) and Sang Bin Jeong (36.44). 
  • Brazilian youth international forward Gabriel Pec makes his second consecutive start in tonight’s match against Seattle. Pec, who has tallied one assist in four appearances (1 start) for LA during the 2024 campaign, recorded 40 goal contributions (26 goals, 14 assists) in 178 appearances across all competitions with Vasco da Gama (2019-23).
  • Miguel Berry makes his first start of the season in tonight’s match against Seattle Sounders FC. In 80 career MLS regular-season appearances (40 starts), Berry has recorded 11 goals and 3 assists.
