  • Jonathan Bond, who has notched seven shutouts, makes his 28th appearance (28th start) during the 2022 MLS Regular Season. 
  • Julián Araujo becomes the youngest player in LA Galaxy history to appear in 100 matches across all competitions with the start against Sporting KC. Araujo’s seven assists this season leads the team and is tied for his career-high set last season. 
  • Séga Coulibaly makes his sixth consecutive start and his 23rd appearance of the season in the match against Kansas City. 
  • Playing next to Coulibaly is Derrick Williams, who makes his 23rd appearance (21st start) during the 2022 campaign. 
  • Making his first start since Aug. 19 is Raheem Edwards, who has tallied six assists in 24 games played (21 starts) in league play this season. 
  • Gastón Brugman gets the start as the holding midfielder. Brugman has made seven appearances (7 starts) since making his debut in a 2-0 win over Atlanta United FC on July 24. 
  • Riqui Puig makes his third consecutive start in the span of seven days for the Galaxy. Puig was named to the MLS Team of the Week after recording an assist against the New England Revolution on Aug. 28 and a goal against Toronto FC on Aug. 31. 
  • Mark Delgado makes his first start for the Galaxy since Aug. 19. Delgado has tallied two goals and two assists in 22 appearances (22 starts) in his first season in LA.
  • Víctor Vázquez gets the start as the attacking midfielder for the Galaxy. Vázquez has tallied two goals and three assists in 20 games played (12 starts) for LA in regular-season play in 2022. 
  • Captaining the Galaxy is Javier “Chicharito” Hernández, who has recorded five goals and two assists in his last five games played dating back to Aug. 6. 
  • Making just his fourth start of the season (July 4, July 8, Aug. 6) alongside Chicharito is Dejan Joveljić, who has tallied 10 goals and three assists in 811 minutes played in regular-season play this year. Amongst players that have played a minimum of 750 minutes in league play, Joveljić leads MLS with 1.11 goals scored per 90 minutes played.
