- Douglas Costa starts at attacking midfield for LA. Costa notched his second goal of the season from outside the box in LA’s 3-1 loss to FC Dallas on May 14.
- Samuel Grandsir makes his first start in league play since a 1-0 win over Nashville on April 23. Grandsir ranks tied for second on the team with three assists.
- Starting up top is Javier “Chicharito” Hernández, who registered a brace in a 3-3 draw against Minnesota United FC in the 2021 MLS regular-season finale on Nov. 7, 2021.
