- Suriname National Team defender Kelvin Leerdam makes his debut for the Galaxy at right back. Leerdam scored two goals in nine regular-season appearances against the Timbers when he was a member of Seattle Sounders FC.
- Playing in the heart of defense is Nick DePuy, who has made four consecutive starts to begin the 2022 campaign.
- Next to Coulibaly is* Derrick Williams, who makes his first start of the season at center back. Playing at left back is Raheem Edwards, who ranks tied for first in MLS with three assists in his first season with the Galaxy.
- Mark Delgado* makes his fifth consecutive start for the Galaxy in midfield. The 26-year-old has tallied 17 goals and 24 assists in 222 regular-season appearances (191 starts) in his 10-year career in MLS. Next to Delgado is Rayan Raveloson, who has made four starts this season and registered his first assist of 2022 against Seattle on March 12.
- Playing on the right wing is Young Designated Player Kévin Cabral,who ranked tied for second on the team with five goals and chipped in with two assists in 28 appearances (24 starts) in his first season with the Galaxy in 2021.
- Earning his second start of the campaign is Efraín Álvarez, who has tallied one goal in four appearances (1 start) during the 2022 campaign.
- Samuel Grandsir makes his first start of the season on the left wing for LA. Grandsir has played in 38 consecutive matches for the Galaxy since making his debut on April 18, 2021.
- Starting up top and captaining the Galaxy is Javier “Chicharito” Hernández, who tallied a goal in his last appearance against Portland on Oct. 16, 2021
