Staff Sergeant Andrew Ramirez enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in December 2013 and was stationed at Camp Pendleton, California. After four years of honorable active-duty service, he transitioned to the Marine Corps Reserve in April 2018, serving at Seal Beach, California.
As a platoon sergeant, he led and mentored over 300 Marines, overseeing more than 50 convoy missions and training in vehicle recovery operations and leadership ethics. Currently stationed in Oahu, Hawaii, Staff Sergeant Ramirez serves as a security chief and full-time armed officer in the private sector. He holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and an associate’s degree in psychology and is pursuing a master’s degree at Brandman University, with plans to commission as a Marine Corps Officer upon graduation in December 2025.
His personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, Global War on Terrorism Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and the Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal.
