Hospital Corpsman First Class Rachel Standish enlisted in the United States Navy in December of 2012. She completed Hospital Corpsman “A” School in 2013 and served at Officer Candidate School in Quantico, Virginia; aboard USS Somerset LPD 25; and at Naval Hospital Rota, Spain.
In 2022, she graduated from Independent Duty Corpsman “C” School and now serves at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton as the Leading Petty Officer and Independent Duty Corpsman for 11th Marine Regiment. She supervises 61 Sailors, three Junior Officers, and one Medical Officer, overseeing daily operations and patient care for over 2,300 Marines across four battalions.
Standish holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Science and plans to pursue a doctorate in clinical psychology. Some of her awards include three Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals and four Good Conduct Medals.
