Giovani dos Santos has a flair for the dramatic and that was on full display when he expertly chipped goalkeeper Steve Clark during the LA Galaxy’s 2-1 win over Columbus Crew SC.
Dos Santos’ scored the game-winner in the 82nd minute when he received a well-placed pass from defender Robbie Rogers and then sprinted toward goal. Alone on goal, Dos Santos skillfully chipped Clark to give the Galaxy the win.
The 27-year-old’s goal won LA Galaxy Goal of the Month for September and was nominated for the league’s Goal of the Year award.
