Mika Vayrynen was known for his calming midfield presence during his year-long stay with the Galaxy, but the Finnish midfielder unleashed a rocket in his CONCACAF Champions League goal against Guatemalan side Comunicaciones FC.
In the fifth minute of the Galaxy’s SCCL clash, Giovani dos Santos launched a ball over the Comunicaciones defense that was tapped backward by Gyasi Zardes. The ball fell perfectly for the Finnish midfielder who unleashed a left-footed volley that sailed into the Guatemalan’s net.
