There's no denying that Giovani dos Santos has been a positive on the field since signing with the LA Galaxy this summer, scoring three goals and adding four assists in just seven games in MLS.
But for as good as he's been on the pitch, the Mexican superstar might be making an even bigger impact off of it.
Since joining the Galaxy as a Designated Player in July, dos Santos has helped the club win games all while winning over plenty of new fans. The El Tri attacker instantly converted more than a few Mexico fans living in California into Galaxy aficionados, with some driving long distances from other parts of the state just to catch a glimpse of the 26-year-old.
Dos Santos has not disappointed in his first few months in MLS. He's racked up the goals and assists, and shown the trademark flair that's made him such a fan favorite back home in Mexico. Still, the Galaxy think his best soccer is ahead of him.
The latest edition of MLS Insider offers a look into dos Santos' arrival in LA, the type of impact he has had on the club and its fans, how he's fitting in with head coach Bruce Arena and much more. It's an interesting glimpse, and one that might be only a sign of things to come.
