Weekly Schedule: LA Galaxy prepare to host Vancouver Whitecaps FC at Orange County Great Park

LOS ANGELES (Monday, Feb. 11, 2019) – The LA Galaxy begin their fourth week of preseason training today ahead of their second exhibition match of preseason this weekend.


On Saturday, Feb. 16, the LA Galaxy will face Vancouver Whitecaps FC at 5 p.m. PT at Orange County Great Park. The match will be streamed live on LAGalaxy.com. The match is open exclusively to LA Galaxy Season Ticket Members.


In their first official exhibition of preseason over the weekend, the LA Galaxy drew 1-1 with Toronto FC at Dignity Health Sports Park. New signings Diego Polenta and Uriel Antuna made their first starts with the club, as did MLS SuperDraft selection Emil Cuello.

Last week, the Galaxy announced the signing of 27-year-old Uruguayan defender Diego Polenta. Polenta joins the Galaxy after playing for Club Nacional de Football in Uruguay’s Primera División, where he appeared in 136 matches across all competitions, including Copa Libertadores, Copa Sudamericana and league contests. Polenta, who was acquired using Targeted Allocation Money (TAM), will occupy an International roster spot and will be added officially following the receipt of his ITC and P-1 Visa.
