LA Galaxy return from Washington D.C. to continue preseason preparations | Weekly Schedule

CARSON, Calif. (Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2014) – The LA Galaxy will continue their preseason training this week at StubHub Center. The Galaxy will kick off their 20th season in MLS when they face the Chicago Fire on Friday, March 6 at StubHub Center live on UniMás beginning at 7 p.m. PT.


Season tickets for the 2015 MLS season are on sale now, starting as low as $19.50 per game. Becoming a Galaxy Season Ticket Member gives fans the opportunity to see every Galaxy home game as well as a number of additional benefits such as Locker Room Rewards access, invitation to Season Ticket Member event with the Galaxy team and discounts on additional single game tickets. Single-game tickets for each of the Galaxy’s 17 MLS matches at StubHub Center are also on sale now. This week, the Galaxy will take on Seattle Sounders FC in a scrimmage Friday, Feb. 6 at 11:30 a.m. PT. The closed-door scrimmage will only be open to media and take place on University Field #1 at StubHub Center. Media are able to park in Lot 17.


During the Galaxy’s preseason, the team will travel to Stockholm, Sweden for a game against Hammarby played Monday, Feb. 16 at Tele2 Arena at 11:30 a.m. PT (7:30 p.m. local time). Hammarby, one of Sweden’s longest-serving clubs, plays in Sweden’s top professional division and is also owned by Anschutz Entertainment Company.


The Galaxy will then face Shamrock Rovers F.C. in Dublin, Ireland on Saturday, Feb. 21 at 8 a.m. PT (4 p.m. local time). The match will see the return of 2014 MLS MVP Robbie Keane, Ireland’s captain and all-time leading scorer, to his hometown of Dublin. Shamrock, the most successful professional club in Irish history, play in Ireland’s top flight professional division, the League of Ireland Premier Division. Rovers F.C. have won a record 17 League of Ireland titles, 24 Football Association of Ireland Senior Challenge Cups (FAI Cup) and 18 League of Ireland Shields.


The LA Galaxy will wrap up preseason competition with a friendly match against the San Jose Earthquakes at Avaya Stadium Saturday, Feb. 28 with kickoff set for 2 p.m. PT.


On Sunday, Feb. 8, LA Galaxy forward Gyasi Zardes and the U.S. Men’s National Team will face Galaxy goalkeeper Jaime Penedo and Panama in a friendly match at StubHub Center at 1 p.m. PT live on ESPN and UniMas. Zardes earned his first cap for the USMNT when he appeared as a second-half substitute against Chile last week.
