Western Conference Championship hero Juninho returns to Seattle eager for more success against Sounders FC | INSIDER

SEATTLE -- Juninho relishes playing against Seattle Sounders FC, and in his first trip to CenturyLink Field since his dramatic Western Conference Championship clinching goal, he's hoping to create more good memories in Seattle.

The Brazilian midfielder played the hero in the Galaxy's legendary Conference Championship second leg victory with the decisive goal from distance that sent Los Angeles to MLS Cup 2014 which they eventually won. Nearly a year later,  the memory is still fresh with the Brazilian as he returns to Emerald City.

"I have good moments in my head about that championship," Juninho, who has four goals all-time against the Sounders, told LAGalaxy.com after the team's final training session at CenturyLink Field. "Beating Seattle was a great feeling and being back here again helps me remember a lot of those moments. I hope we can create more and be successful."

As sweet as it is to return to Seattle, Juninho understands that the Galaxy have important work on their hands on Sunday as they look to clinch a spot in the MLS Cup Playoffs.

"This is an excellent environment. It's always a battle against Seattle. They have a great team, and we're always fighting for something with them," Juninho said. "This is another game. I hope that we can play well, and clinch here."
