CARSON, Calif. (Monday, Dec. 7, 2015) – The LA Galaxy announced today the club’s roster options ahead of the 2016 Major League Soccer Season. The LA Galaxy will not exercise contract options on forward Edson Buddle, defender Tommy Meyer, goalkeeper Brian Perk, goalkeeper Donovan Ricketts, forward Charlie Rugg, midfielder Mika Vayrynen, midfielder Kenney Walker, and goalkeeper Andrew Wolverton.
The following players remain under contract with the LA Galaxy: A.J. DeLaGarza, Giovani dos Santos, Rafael Garcia, Dan Gargan, Steven Gerrard, Juninho, Omar Gonzalez, Baggio Husidic, Bradford Jamieson IV, Robbie Keane, Leonardo, Sebastian Lletget, Ignacio Maganto, Raul Mendiola, Robbie Rogers, Dave Romney, Brian Rowe, Oscar Sorto, Jose Villarreal, Gyasi Zardes.
Forward Alan Gordon is currently out of contract.
Per league and club policy, additional details were not disclosed. Per MLS rules, the Galaxy have until Thursday, Dec. 10 to re-sign any re-entry draft eligible players, including players whose options were not exercised.
