Making his first start for Tijuana, Juninho notched his first Liga MX goal in the 33th minute of Xolos' eventual 2-2 draw with Veracruz on Friday night. With Tijuana down to 10 men and down 2-0, Juninho made a late run down the right flank and launched a shot first time past the Veracruz goalkeeper.
Juninho and Club Tijuana face the LA Galaxy in a preseason friendly on Feb. 9 at StubHub Center.
