CARSON, Calif. --  Jeff Larentowicz was signed by the LA Galaxy this offseason to add depth to the midfield, but as of yet, the veteran midfielder has been unable to get on the field.

Following Tuesday's preseason friendly against Club Tijuana, Galaxy head coach Bruce Arena confirmed that Larentowicz has missed all of the preseason training after undergoing hernia surgery during the offseason.

"He’s missed the entire preseason," Arena told reporters. "He’ll be back in training probably in another week or so. He has surgery for a hernia and is recovering from it."

Larentowicz is not the only player who missed out on Tuesday's match as A.J. DeLaGarza was unavailable after being having his right foot stepped on during the closed-door scrimmage against Toronto FC.  Midfielder Sebastian Lletget remains unavailable due to groin tightness but is expected to make his preseason debut against the San Jose Earthquakes on Saturday in Las Vegas.
