CARSON, Calif. -- Steven Gerrard is not expected to face off against Vancouver Whitecaps FC this weekend, according to LA Galaxy head coach Bruce Arena.
Gerrard has not trained since exiting the Galaxy's win over the San Jose Earthquakes with a left calf injury. Following training, Arena confirmed that Gerrard is not likely to be available for the match against Vancouver.
“We don’t expect Gerrard to play,” Arena said.
