CARSON, Calif. – Landon Donovan didn’t find the score sheet during Sunday’s 4-2 defeat to Seattle Sounders FC, but the LA Galaxy legend made an important admission after the match.

The 34-year-old believes that he’s officially “back to normal.”

Donovan went 24 minutes in the Galaxy’s loss, his longest minute total since ending his retirement two weeks ago. On the heels of his goal against Sporting KC a week earlier, Donovan again was active on both sides of the ball, nearly finding the back of the net in 71st minute.

“I felt today like I was back to normal,” Donovan said. “Even in Kansas City, I felt I was struggling. I had a week where I was really able to push myself this week, and then today there wasn’t a lot to do running wise but I felt like I was normal and could contribute again. So that was a good positive obviously, but it’s never fun when you do it in a loss.”
