CARSON, Calif. – Bruce Arena says the LA Galaxy’s injured trio of Steven Gerrard, Robbie Keane, and Gyasi Zardes are “making progress” but there is no timetable for their return.
Gerrard (hamstring) and Keane (hip flexor tightness) missed out on the Galaxy’s clash with Houston, while Zardes (broken foot) has not played since late August. Both of the Designated Players have participated in limited training this week, while Zardes remains limited to fitness work.
Ahead of Los Angeles’ final game of the regular season, Arena confirmed that all three are making steps forward.
“They’re making progress,” Arena said. “When they’re able to get back in remains to be seen.”
