LA Galaxy midfielder Romain Alessandrini has been named March’s Herbalife Nutrition Player of the Month, collecting 58% of fans’ votes.
Alessandrini, the LA Galaxy’s newest Designated Player, collects his first Herbalife Nutrition Player of the Month win after making three starts in the month of March, capped off by a two-assist performance in the team’s 2-1 win over Real Salt Lake on March 18. Alessandrini provided the game-winning assist to Ema Boateng in the 74th minute of that contest, lifting LA to their first win of the season.
Alessandrini edged out defender Dave Romney and goalkeeper Clement Diop in the first Herblife Nutrition Player of the Month poll of the season. The midfielder’s April campaign is off to a hot start, as he recorded the first two goals of his Galaxy career in the team’s April 1 match against Vancouver Whitecaps.
LA Galaxy fans can vote for the Herblalife Player of the Month Award in each month of the 2017 season. When a fan votes for a player online at LAGalaxy.com/POTM, they can enter to win the Herbalife Nutrition Player of the Month Sweepstakes. Each month, the sweepstakes winner will receive four VIP match tickets to a 2017 LA Galaxy home game. The winner and their three guests will also win a meet and greet with the Herbalife Nutrition Player of the Month at the LA Galaxy’s training grounds at StubHub Center.
