TUKWILA, Wash. (Saturday, June 3, 2017) – LA Galaxy II (2-7-2, 8 points) fell 3-0 to Seattle Sounders FC 2 (5-5-2, 17 points) on Saturday night at Starfire Sports Complex in Tukwila, Wash. The loss snapped a two-game unbeaten streak on the road for Los Dos.

SSFC2’s Irvin Parra secured a second-half brace that sandwiched a Ray Saari goal, as a poor second half outing for Los Dos saw them concede three goals in less than fifteen minutes. Saari’s bested the Galaxy twice this season: his one goal, one assist performance on Saturday night comes on the heels of a two-assist performance against LA at StubHub Center Track & Field Stadium on April 15.

Galaxy II held 39% of possession on the evening, and registered only one shot – a season low for Los Dos.

For the first time all season, no LA Galaxy players participated in the match for LA Galaxy II.

Galaxy II’s Justin Dhillon earned the nod for his first start of the 2017, a deserving one after scoring two goals in the last three games off the bench for GII. Galaxy Academy’s Zico Bailey recorded his first career start for GII, while fellow Academy member Jake Arteaga subbed on to make his third appearance of the season. Alejandro Covarrubias made his second start for Galaxy II since returning to the side in May.

LA will get the chance to right their wrongs at home next weekend, when they take on Colorado Springs Switchbacks at 7:30 p.m. PT on Saturday, June 10 at StubHub Center Track & Field Stadium.
