Manchester United announce Tour 2017 squad ahead of July 15 match vs. LA Galaxy

CARSON, Calif. (Sunday, July 9, 2017) – Manchester United announced today the team’s roster traveling for their United States preseason tour, which will kick off this Saturday, July 15 at StubHub Center with a match against the LA Galaxy (7 p.m. PT; ESPN). Manchester United’s traveling roster will feature some of the world’s most talented and recognizable players, including midfielder Paul Pogba, midfielder Juan Mata, forward Anthony Martial, goalkeeper David de Gea, midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan and midfielder Marouane Fellaini, among others. Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku is also expected to join the club as well in Los Angeles. The club announced that it had agreed to terms Everton and Lukaku would join the club such to a medical and personal terms.



Founded in 1878, the Red Devils have competed in the top flight of English soccer since 1938, with the exception of the 1974/75 season. The Red Devils will open its preseason facing the LA Galaxy at the Stub Hub Center on July 15 before facing Real Salt Lake at Rio Tinto Stadium on July 17.
The club will then open its participation in the International Champions Cup Presented by Heineken with the first Manchester Derby to take place outside of England. The Red Devils will face Manchester City on July 20 at NRG Stadium in Houston before facing Real Madrid on July 23 in a meeting of European champions at Levis Stadium in Santa Clara, California. The Europa League winner will then face FC Barcelona in FedExField in Washington D.C. on July 26. Since 2002, the LA Galaxy have hosted numerous international exhibition matches at StubHub Center against teams from around the world, including Manchester City, Real Madrid, Tottenham and Chelsea, among others.
