CARSON, Calif. -- Former LA Galaxy goalkeeper Clement Diop was selected by the Montreal Impact in Wednesday's MLS Waiver Draft.

The Impact acquired Diop's rights after the 24-year-old Senegalese International's option was declined by the Galaxy.

Diop made 17 appearances for the Galaxy in his two seasons with the first team, making a total of 65 saves as well as two shutouts. The Parisian-born goalkeeper was also a stalwart for USL side LA Galaxy II, playing in three seasons with the club and helping them reach the USL Final in 2015.

Former San Jose Earthquakes defender Kip Colvey was selected by the Colorado Rapids in the only other selection in the Waiver Draft.
