The LA Galaxy will open the 2018 MLS Regular Season at StubHub Center on Sunday, March 4, at 7 p.m. PT against Portland Timbers. Tickets to the general public will go on sale this Friday, Dec. 22 at 10 a.m. PT here.

In the Galaxy’s second game of the season, LA will travel for a matchup at Yankee Stadium against NYCFC on Sunday, March 11 at 2 p.m. PT in what will mark Eastern Conference side’s home-opening match of the season. The Galaxy’s full 2018 MLS Regular Season schedule will be announced at a later date.


The Galaxy have faced Timbers 18 times in regular season play, scoring 32 goals against the Western Conference side, going 7-6-5 all-time, including 5-3-3 during home contests. All time, the Galaxy have gone 13-8-2 in home-opening contests.


During the 2018 MLS regular season, each club will play 34 games, including 17 home games and 17 away games. Teams will face each of their conference opponents (10 in the East, 11 in the West) twice during the season with one game at home and one game away. Western Conference teams will play one additional intra-conference game and Eastern Conference teams will play two. All teams will face each non-conference opponent once.
