LA Galaxy select Drew Skundrich with the 40th pick in the 2018 MLS SuperDraft

The LA Galaxy have selected Stanford midfielder Drew Skundrich with the 40th pick in the 2018 MLS SuperDraft.


Skundrich, 22, joins the LA Galaxy after four years at Stanford, where he was a member of a team that won three consecutive NCAA National Championships from 2015-17. In his senior season with Stanford, Skundrich was named First Team All-Pac-12. He made 82 appearances across four seasons, recording nine goals and 13 assists.


The LA Galaxy selected Skundrich’s four-year Stanford teammate, Tomas Hilliard-Arce, with the 2nd pick in the 2018 MLS SuperDraft. Skundrich is LA Galaxy’s second selection in the 2018 SuperDraft. The Galaxy also hold the 48th and 90th picks in the draft.
