LOS ANGELES – Giovani dos Santos only needed one word to describe the LA Galaxy’s jersey unveiling event at the Novo in Downtown Los Angeles on Sunday.
“Wow.”
The Galaxy unveiled their new 2018/19 primary jersey in front of a packed crowd of season ticket members and team alumni. Hundreds of the Galaxy faithful packed the event that officially revealed not just the kit, but Sigi Schmid’s 2018 squad.
“It was an amazing event. I really enjoyed being able to share this amazing moment with our fans and to witness their incredible support. I can’t wait to get back on the pitch and play for this city again.”
As for the jersey itself, dos Santos was pleased with the design and hopes to score plenty of goals in the new shirt.
“I really hope so,” he said with a smile. “This is the year.”
