The LA Galaxy will begin the 2018 MLS Regular Season campaign this weekend, when they take on Portland Timbers on Sunday, March 4 at StubHub Center (7 p.m. PT, FS1), presented by Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. Tickets to LA Galaxy’s 2018 Home Opener are on sale now, available here.
2018 LA Galaxy Home Opener
The Galaxy wrapped up the 2018 Preseason with a 2-1 loss to the Vancouver Whitecaps at StubHub Center last weekend, with their lone goal coming from a successful Giovani dos Santos penalty kick.
The Galaxy have scored 10 goals in five preseason games, with scores coming from Michael Ciani (1), Ola Kamara (3), Baggio Husidic (1), Sebastian Lletget (1), Chris Pontius (1), Giovani dos Santos (1) and rookie Tomas Hilliard-Arce (2).The Galaxy finished the preseason with a 2-3-0 record during their 2018 preseason, defeating New York City FC and Fresno FC while falling to Vancouver Whitecaps FC, San Jose Earthquakes and Real Salt Lake.
In the buildup to the Home Opener, the LA Galaxy will host a week of fan-friendly events in the Los Angeles area. The Galaxy will kick off the week in Santa Monica, with Jonathan dos Santos, Romain Alessandrini and LA Galaxy President Chris Klein lighting up the Ferris wheel at Santa Monica Pier. Also on Thursday, fans will get the chance to see some of the most iconic photographs in LA Galaxy history through The Best of LA Galaxy Photography Photo Exhibit at Canon Live Learning Orange County. The following day, fans can hang out with LA Galaxy players, Cozmo and Head coach Sigi Schmid and President Chris Klein at First Fridays Long Beach. Finally, LA Galaxy Season Ticket Members can kick off a day before the start of the season with pick-up soccer at StubHub Center. The full Event Calendar is below.
2018 LA Galaxy Season Credentials will be available for pickup at StubHub Center Box Office (Window 12) from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, March 2.
