LOS ANGELES (Friday, March 2, 2018) – The LA Galaxy will host the 2018 MLS Regular Season home-opener this Sunday, March 4 at StubHub Center when they face the Portland Timbers at 7 p.m. PT live on FS1 and FOX Deportes. Limited tickets to the match remain available on www.lagalaxy.com/tickets.
In conjunction with the opening game, the Galaxy have release all stadium and game information for fans attending the match, which is outlined below.
RENOVATED TAILGATING AREA
The tailgating area on the north end has been upgraded, with brand-new turf and added accommodations and seating available for all fans. The newly-renovated area will be available beginning this Sunday, March 4 in advance of the game.
Tailgating will only be allowed in StubHub Center Lots: 10, 11, 12 and 13, which open three hours prior to kick-off. When entering the parking lot, it is important to follow directions from parking personnel. Please note that there are no “in and out” privileges for vehicles.

UPDATED STUBHUB CENTER #SINCE96 BRANDING
The new LA Galaxy Marketing Campaign, #Since96, was unveiled earlier this season. The new, colorful, vibrant look will appear on GalaxyTV, LED ribbon boards as well as in-stadium branding and signage. The campaign, meant to highlight the LA Galaxy’s status in Los Angeles and MLS since the team’s founding, will be a new look inside StubHub Center.
TACO OF THE MATCH
The newest offering in StubHub Center’s stadium fare, Taco of the Match, will debut in this weekend’s Home Opener. Ready to serve will be Craft Beer Tacos, featuring beer-braised brisket, roasted mushrooms, beer cheese sauce and pico de gallo. Each LA Galaxy Taco of the Match will be available at Stand 13, La Taqueria.
PITCH & PALE – MODELO
From 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. PT at the Pitch & Pale at StubHub Center, Modelo will be throwing a party for Galaxy fans. There will be live entertainment from the Jacob Jeffries Band starting at around 4 p.m. Fans will be able to snag $5 draft beer of Modelo, Corona and Pacifico. You’ll also be able to receive the option to add a free Michelada upgrade to your beer.
The SE Gate to the Pitch & Pale area opens at 4 p.m. PT, one hour and half ahead of all other stadium gates.
NEW STUBHUB CENTER SMOKING POLICY
StubHub Center is a now a completely smoke-free facility. Any cigarettes, pipes, cigars, e-cigarettes and vapor devices are strictly prohibited in all areas.
PARKING
Fans now have various options to improved parking at Stub Hub Center, with $10, $15 or $20 parking available on LA Galaxy gamedays by utilizing any of the following. The variety of parking options will enhance efficiency for fans attending the game.
Parking options:
- $10: To park in StubHub Center $10 lots on Galaxy gamedays, fans can enter Gates G or H off of Central Ave.
- $15: Fans can now receive a discount by pre-paying for parking at StubHub Center by clicking here.
- $20: General Admission parking is $20. Please enter via Gates B, E, or I.
ALTERNATIVE TRANSPORTATION
To alleviate parking gates, LA Galaxy also encourage fans to utilize Galaxy Express, a non-stop shuttle service bringing fans to StubHub Center from Harbor Gateway Transit Center and Del Amo Station. The Galaxy Express will allow patrons the chance to make their way to StubHub Center from anywhere in Los Angeles using LA Metro. Galaxy Express operates approximately every 10 minutes, beginning 90 minutes prior to kickoff and running through the match’s 15th minute. Return trips operate from the 75th minute through 45 minutes after the whistle. Addresses of the two Galaxy Express pickup locations are below.

The LA Galaxy and StubHub Center also provide dedicated drop off areas for Uber, which fans are encouraged to take to any match at StubHub Center. Fans can use the designated Uber pick up/drop off zone located at Gate A off of Avalon Blvd.
CLEAR BAG POLICY
StubHub Center’s Clear Bag Policy remains in effect for all LA Galaxy home games. StubHub Center and the LA Galaxy advise fans not to bring bags of any kind to the stadium for events. Bags that adhere to the below standards will be permitted to enter StubHub Center:
- Bags that are clear plastic or clear vinyl and do not exceed 12" x 6" x 12"
- One-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (ziplock bag or similar)
- Small clutch bags, approximately the size of a hand, with or without a handle or strap can be taken into the stadium with one of the clear plastic bags
*Exceptions will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection at a gate designated for this purpose.
Prohibited items into StubHub Center include, but are not limited to: purses larger than a clutch bag, coolers, briefcases, backpacks, fanny packs, cinch bags, luggage of any kind, computer bags and camera bags or any bag larger than the permissible size.
