Los Dos will host New York Red Bulls II in what will be their first trip to Los Angeles as a club. The two sides met for the first time last year at Red Bull Arena, where Los Dos earned a 2-1 victory in their first away win of the 2017 season. In the comeback win, Adonis Amaya converted a penalty kick and Justin Dhillon scored his first goal in a Galaxy shirt for the game-winner.

This weekend, LA Galaxy II are looking to end their three-game losing streak with their first win of the season. The team has shown improvement defensively, allowing one goal or less in four of their last five matches. All that’s missing is offensive production, with just one goal to Los Dos’ name in six games this season. The return of Efrain Alvarez, who was on Mexican Youth National Team duty for an extended stint, could help get things going for the Galaxy.

“They have some mature players and some talented young players,” said LA Galaxy II Head Coach Mike Muñoz. “When I watch them play, it’s a well-balanced profile of a team.”

One of those players is Brian White, who is coming off a two-goal performance for the Red Bulls. He leads his team with four goals. The New Jersey side is one of the highest scoring teams in the league, entering the match with an average of 2.8 goals per game.
