LA Galaxy to host Galaxy Throwback Night on April 28 at StubHub Center

LOS ANGELES – The LA Galaxy will host Throwback Night at StubHub Center this Saturday, April 28 when the Galaxy face the Eastern Conference New York Red Bulls (7:30 p.m. PT; Spectrum SportsNet, Spectrum Deportes). Throwback Night, presented by Modelo, will feature an exclusive LA Galaxy Since 96 Fanny Pack distributed to fans upon entry to the stadium.


This marks the third-straight season that the LA Galaxy have hosted Throwback Night at StubHub Center. Limited tickets for Saturday’s contest are available at www.lagalaxy.com/tickets.

The LA Galaxy will turn back the clock with retro giveaways, playlists, and in-stadium videos, giving fans a unique look into the club’s storied past since 1996. Additionally, the Pitch & Pale location at StubHub Center, inside the southeast entrance of the stadium, will feature California pop singer Will Makar, who will play live ‘90s throwback songs in a free concert before the game.


Presenting partner Modelo will also activate before the game in the Pitch & Pale location and allow fans to upgrade a $5 drink special to a Michelada for no additional cost. There will also be a photo booth area and various giveaways in the Modelo space in Pitch & Pale.


Saturday’s match involves a unique storyline to the LA Galaxy’s history. Almost 22 years later to the exact date, the Galaxy faced New York in their first match in MLS history on April 13, 1996, earning a 2-1 win in front of 69,255 fans at the Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena, the club’s first home.


In their seventh match of the 2018 MLS Regular Season, the LA Galaxy (3-3-1, 10 points) fell 0-2 to Atlanta United FC (5-1-1, 16 points) on Saturday night at StubHub Center. The crowd of 25,864 marked the LA Galaxy’s fourth-straight sellout at StubHub Center this season.
