No movement for the LA Galaxy despite extending unbeaten run to nine | Power Rankings presented by ECHO Outdoor Power Equipment

CARSON, Calif. – The LA Galaxy earned four points off two matches last week but made no movement in the league’s top Power Rankings.

Los Angeles earned a 2-2 road draw with LAFC on Thursday, and then defeated Orlando City SC in a 4-3 thriller at StubHub Center. The Galaxy are now unbeaten in nine matches, their longest unbeaten run since the 2016 season.

The Galaxy return to action on Saturday against the Colorado Rapids, without the services of the suspended Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

"The Galaxy are now officially steering into its poor defense by simply trying to outscore everyone. L.A. followed up a Zlatan-inspired 2-2 comeback draw against LAFC on Thursday with a madcap 4-3 win over Orlando on Sunday that included an Ibrahimovic hat trick."

"The Galaxy's unbeaten streak in MLS is now nine games, and while they seem to be settling into the same "score a lot and let in a lot" blueprint as their Trafico neighbors, it's working right now. Zlatan Ibrahimovic possibly, maybe making a late Golden Boot chase doesn't hurt, either."
