CARSON, Calif. – Efrain Alvarez scored the opening goal as Mexico defeated the United States, 2-1 in the final match of the week-long training camp in Costa Rica on Sunday.
Alvarez scored, while Galaxy Academy players Adam Saldana (#6) and Kobe Hernandez (#3) featured for the United States. Hernandez provided the assist on the U.S.’ lone goal.
All three players played major minutes for their respective nations during the Costa Rica training camp.
