Match Preview: LA Galaxy II to face Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC as they host third annual Pups at the Pitch

Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC are coming off of two back-to-back losses. In the most recent match, Colorado Springs were unable to find a result on the road against a difficult Phoenix Rising FC, conceding four goals to lose 4-0. This will be the side’s third consecutive match away from home. The Switchbacks have gone 2-10-1 on the road this season. 


LA Galaxy II will look to take advantage of their opposition’s losing streak as they return home after facing Real Monarchs SLCLos Dos have been able to find a result in their last three consecutive matches at StubHub Center Track & Field Stadium, only letting in three goals in those contests. The Galaxy will strive to continue this unbeaten run at home on Saturday.

On Saturday, LA Galaxy II will host their third annual Pups at the Pitch. As part of the special pooch-centered night, fans in attendance will be permitted to bring their dogs into the stadium to watch the action. All four-legged fans get in for free. The first 750 fans out to the match will receive a free LA Galaxy collapsible dog bowl. Additionally, Pups at the Pitch will have a Best in Show dog competition at halftime, judged by the fans. Real Monarchs SLC 4 | LA Galaxy II 0: LA Galaxy II struggled defensively in the opening half, conceding four goals before halftime. Los Dos held a shutout in the second half but were unable to find scoring opportunities.


Phoenix Rising FC 4 | Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC 0: After a battle of possession ensued throughout the first 45 minutes, the sides entered halftime scoreless. Colorado Springs went down to 10 men early in the second, opening up the game for Phoenix.
