TORONTO -- Zlatan Ibrahimovic added to his illustrious resume on Saturday.
Ibrahimovic scored the 500th goal of his remarkable career as the LA Galaxy fell 5-3 in a thrilling match with Toronto FC. The 500th goal was typical Zlatan as he completed an absolutely unreal spinning volley to spark a Galaxy rally late in the first half.
Although Los Angeles couldn't get the win that they needed for their postseason chase, Ibrahimovic was proud of his individual achievement.
"I mean, from my personal objective it’s fantastic. I probably have more goals than the guys on the field have games together. Of course, it’s huge," Ibrahimovic told reporters in Toronto. "I don’t know how many have scored 500 goals in their career, but I am one of them and if would feel nicer if we win the game but still, I did it so there is nothing I will hide from."
