CARSON, Calif. – The LA Galaxy U-14’s impressed in a 3-0 victory over LAFC Academy on Saturday.
Jonathon Ruvalcaba had a brace and Adriel Rocha added a third in the win as goalkeeper Edson Mendez kept a clean sheet in the win.
“I think overall it was a great day. We have our style of play and ways of teaching the game and they have theirs,” Academy Technical Manager Jamie Harvey said. “At these ages we will sacrifice winning, while still important, to teach the players the proper way to play. Having the olders’ Academy and a full professional pathway, we understand the proper habits and fundamentals are not taught at youngest age group it’s very difficult.”
