LA Galaxy host SNHU Rompe Las Barreras Job Shadow Program at StubHub Center

The LA Galaxy teamed up with Southern New Hampshire University as one of eight MLS clubs to host a job shadow experience for local students as part of the Rompe Las Barreras (Break Through Barriers) program.

Students from Sun Valley High School were invited to get a behind-the-scenes look at the day-to-day operations of the LA Galaxy and StubHub Center. The 18 high school students shadowed departments throughout the LA Galaxy organization. Between the morning shadow sessions, students visited training and met with LA Galaxy midfielder Sebastian Lletget who signed autographs and took photos.

During lunch, provided by LA Galaxy Healthy Kitchen, the students visited the employee gardens at StubHub Center. After learning about StubHub Center's vigorous sustainability efforts, the high schoolers enjoyed an in-depth conversation with head StubHub Center Engineer, Gary Wilson, who provided a historical overview of the stadium.

The students also joined in for a class at the LA Galaxy Academy High School, and learned how the structure of the Academy High School differs from their high school experience.

To cap of their day at StubHub Center, the students received tickets to the Galaxy's upcoming match at home against the Vancouver Whitecaps. The group was recognized on-field at halftime during the Galaxy's 3-0 win over the Whitecaps at StubHub Center on Saturday, Sept. 29.
