LA Galaxy II acquire midfielder Carlos Harvey

Welcome Carlos Harvey

LA Galaxy II have acquired 19-year-old Panamanian International Carlos Harvey on a season-long loan from Panama’s Tauro F.C., the club announced today. He will be added pending league and federation approval, as well as P-1 visa approval and receipt of his ITC.

“Carlos is a talented and versatile, midfielder who even has the ability to play center back,” said LA Galaxy General Manager Dennis te Kloese. “We are pleased to add this defensive depth to LA Galaxy II’s roster and look forward to helping Carlos develop as a professional.”

Born in Panama City, Panama, Harvey made his professional debut with Tauro F.C. of Liga Panameña de Fútbol in July 2018.

Internationally, Harvey earned his first senior call up with the Panama National Team for a friendly against the U.S. Men’s National Team on Jan. 27, 2019 at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Ariz. Prior to his senior debut, Harvey made six appearances, five starts and provided one assist for the Panama U-20 National Team during the 2018 U-20 Concacaf Championship.

Harvey and LA Galaxy II will kick off the 2019 USL Regular Season on Saturday, March 9 against Colorado Springs Switchbacks at Dignity Health Sports Park Track & Field Stadium. Tickets to the 2019 Home Opener are on sale now.
