LA Galaxy launched their LA Galaxy Community Clinic Series at A Place Called Home on Wednesday, April 24th. A Place Called Home (APCH) is a non-profit organization that offers a place for young people to experience joy, laughter, and safety in the local Los Angeles community.
LA Galaxy camp and clinic coaches hosted a 90-minute soccer clinic for the 130-youth participating in APCH’s afterschool programming. All APCH youth received a new LA Galaxy t-shirt and hat to start the event before showing off their soccer skills. Coaches divided up the youth into five groups to rotate between soccer stations that tested their passing, dribbling, shooting and scrimmage skills. Additionally, Galaxy Star Squad set up a station to have youth practice their shooting accuracy where they received prizes to commemorate their day of soccer.
LA Galaxy Foundation will continue to host the 2019 Community Clinic Series at their nine mini-pitch installations around the Los Angeles, Carson and Orange County communities.
