Zlatan Ibrahimovic says the LA Galaxy must "forget" disappointing loss to New England Revolution

LOS ANGELES – Zlatan Ibrahimovic could not hide his frustration following the LA Galaxy’s 2-1 defeat to New England Revolution.

Ibrahimovic scored a world-class bicycle kick in the 84th minute, but it was all in vain as Galaxy saw their two-game winning streak snapped. The defeat gave Los Angeles their third straight loss at home with their home record dropping to 3-3-1 heading into the Gold Cup break.

Following the match, Ibrahimovic declared that the Galaxy had “no excuses” for not winning.

‘“Maybe this is who we are to be realistic. We have ups and downs and reality will catch you sooner or later. We just have to do our best and fight for it.”

Despite the frustrating match, Ibrahimovic scored a remarkable tally to keep the team’s hopes alive, although it was not to be. Although the Swede scored yet another fantastic goal, he admitted that it was best to turn the page.

“This one is to forget as soon as possible, even if you score the goal of the year. This one is to forget.”
