LA Galaxy Foundation continues Community Clinic Series at Union Rescue Mission

LA Galaxy Foundation kicked off the Community Clinic Series on Monday, February 17th at Union Rescue Mission (URM) in Downtown LA. Union Rescue Mission (URM) is a safe haven for men, women and children experiencing homelessness and support the lives of youth exposed to poverty and adversity in Los Angeles community.


At the 90-minute soccer clinic, all URM youth were outfitted in LA Galaxy t-shirts. Once in their Galaxy gear, LA Galaxy camps and clinics coaches divided the youth into three groups and rotated them through soccer stations including dribbling, shooting and scrimmage drills. URM youth were also surprised with special appearances from LA Galaxy Star Squad and mascot, Cozmo who joined them at the soccer clinic. LA Galaxy Star Squad had youth practice their shooting skills and received LA Galaxy swag to take with them.

Throughout the 2020 LA Galaxy MLS soccer season, the LA Galaxy Community Clinic Series will continue to provide youth with the opportunity to participate in soccer programming in the Los Angeles community.
