LA Galaxy defender Julian Araujo supports UFW Foundation efforts

LOS ANGELES -- Julian Araujo is looking to use his platform to make the world a better place for farmworkers in California.

On Tuesday, the LA Galaxy defender took to Twitter to announce a donation to the United Farmworkers Foundation, the charitable arm of the United Farmworkers union created by famed labor leader Cesar Chavez. Since the start of the pandemic, Araujo has been outspoken in his support of essential workers donating meals to farmworkers, urgent care clinics, and schools in his native Lompoc.

The UFW Foundation serves over 90,000 immigrants annually through a holistic approach; providing critical services and engaging our constituents in systemic change to break the cycle of poverty by providing education and resources.  Critical to the UFW Foundation's mission is to civically engage farmworkers and Latinos nationally in the democratic process by telling their story, voting and advocating for more equitable policies.
